IT Operations Engineer with a focus on Azure platform services

You will play a crucial role in developing and managing our cloud-based infrastructure on Microsoft Azure, ensuring it meets our high standards for efficiency and reliability. The role involves a mix of technical challenges, innovative thinking, support/operations, and stakeholder management. You will be at the heart of our IT infrastructure, responsible for making strategic decisions that influence the performance and scalability of our cloud services.

The IT Operations teamis responsible for delivering all aspects of IT services to our stakeholders. Hence, all team members areT-shaped whichmeans you will also be challenged with a range of other IT and Enterprise IT tasks, every day contains a mix ofsupport and engineering.

What Will Your Role Include?

Your first 3-6 months will focus on understanding our existing cloud infrastructure and identifying areas for improvement. You will:

• Engage in the deployment, management, and operational support of our Microsoft Azure environment.
• Work with Entra, Intune, Sentinel, Defender, and other Azure platformservices to ensure a secure and robust infrastructure.
• Collaborate with the development team to architect cloud-native solutions that are scalable, resilient, and cost-effective.
• Contribute to the operations of critical IT infrastructure e.g. office/on-prem IT, Google Workspace, network (Fortinet)
• Contribute to the automation and continuous improvement of our cloud deployment and operations processes.

Technical Skills and Experience

To thrive in this role, you will need:

• Minimum three years of experience in IT operations.
• Broad general experience in data communication and relevant Microsoft applications.
• Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing solutions on Microsoft Azure.
• Hands-on experience with Azure IaaS and PaaS services, Azure Networking, and Azure Security
• Knowledge of automation tools and scripting languages such as Azure CLI, PowerShell, or Terraform.
• Familiarity with cloud-native architecture principles and microservices.
