We are looking for you who are passionate about technology and love to create clear and concise content including manuals, datasheets, and product specifications.

About the position

As a technical writer you will be a part of our engineering department consisting of about 50 engineers. You will be the dedicated technical writer in one of our engineering teams that develops software for fleet control, traffic control, and integration. We work in Agile using SAFe, which means that you will participate in the team’s daily stand-up meetings, sprint plannings, and demos. In parallel you will also be a part of the content community of practice (content CoP) with the other technical writers.

 

Job details

As a technical writer at Kollmorgen your tasks will include:

  • Creating and updating content used by our partners and customers, following our content style guide.
  • Collaborating closely with:
    • Agile teams including product owners to create both internal and external documents.
    • Content team lead to help implement a future-proof documentation solution by structuring information and preparing it for reuse.
  • Creating and maintaining information architecture for our current product offering and preparing for the upcoming documentation work.
  • Gathering feedback from our customers to improve documentation and product functionality.
  • Assisting other teams in writing, proofreading, and improving existing documentation.

 

Requirements to succeed in this role:

  • BSC or a higher degree in IT, computer science, communications, or engineering.
  • 3-5 years of experience in creating documentation for complex technical systems.
  • Ability to translate complex information into clear and user-friendly content.
  • Proficiency in using authoring tools and software such as MadCap Flare and GitLab.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Experience working in the technology sector such as IT or the automotive industry.
  • A high level of proficiency in English.
  • Great attention to details and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.

We are developing software for automated guided vehicles (AGVs) and mobile robots. Our leading technology enables the AGVs to operate smarter, safer, and more efficiently. Kollmorgen is a global company with the AGV team based in Mölndal, Sweden.

Most of our engineers work with software development and testing but there are also hardware engineers, application engineers, and UX designers.

Together we develop NDC Solutions that includes everything you need for excellent control of AGVs.
