Senior Process Engineer, Water Technology

We are looking for a capable and proactive Senior Process Engineer to be part of our growing Water Technology business in the European Union (EU).

Reporting to the Vice President for Water Technology business (EU), this role will be responsible for preparing and facilitating designs for tenders, projects, and ongoing operational treatment systems including preparing design calculations, PFD/PID/GA drawings, conducting treatability studies, periodic reporting, and documentation of procedures.

Key Accountabilities of the role include:

  • Preparing process engineering design for Tenders, Projects, and ongoing operational treatment systems.
  • Managing and preparing treatability studies, working in collaboration with 3rd party laboratory including interpretation of results, design recommendations, and report writing.
  • Assisting in preparing Tenders and Proposals, providing inputs on treatment methodologies and process calculations.
  • Preparing Process Flow Diagrams, Process & Instrumentation Diagrams, and General Arrangement drawings.
  • Responsible for lifecycle cost analysis.
  • Preparing Chemical consumption & mass balance calculations.
  • Collaborating with the wide team in providing technical support to the Operators, Site Engineers, and Project Managers.
  • Assisting with the commissioning work of new treatment projects.
  • Actively participating in design review meetings.
  • Supporting the production, installation, operation, and maintenance work and ensuring all documentation is kept up to date.
  • Ensuring all works are compliant with SciDev HSQE standards and Environmental, Health & Safety requirements are met at all times.

  • Collaborating with laboratory subcontractors.

About You:

  • Tertiary qualification in chemical engineering, environmental, civil/mechanical engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of site experience preferably in the Water treatment industry.
  • Ability to work remotely and independently.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication with great accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of physical chemical treatment processes including ion exchange and adsorption is desirable.
  • Experience and commitment to safety and quality standards.
  • Past experience working in Scandinavia, Benelux, North-Western Europe including the UK and IE region will be an added advantage.
  • This will be a remote position, so we are open to candidates from countries within the EU, desirable but not restricted to Sweden, Scandinavia, Benelux, etc.
