Key Responsibilities

Define and drive critical package deliverables, resources, assurance requirements and interfaces.

  1. Dependent on number and complexity of areas.
  2. Establish the list (MDR) of project phase critical technical documents and deliverables for review and assurance.
  3. Manage technical aspects, including:
    1. Define scope of work.
    2. Clarify technical questions.
    3. Participate in supplier selection (provide/coordinate technical input).
    4. Oversee the quality of the designs produced.
    5. Review and resolve engineering-related issues, including:
      1. Decision making (ownership to make/escalate timely technical decisions).
      2. RFI (Technical Queries) and design issues.
      3. Have the expertise to make engineering judgments and escalate to Design Lead as required.
      4. MOC & Design Change Notifications.
      5. Deviations.
      6. Interfaces.
  4. Monitor & measure performance (including schedule and budget), and report, and escalate internal and external performance-related issues for all scope in their Unit. Have a hands-on approach to achieve the KPI.
  5. Ensure robustness of and adherence to schedule.
  6. Monitor overall Unit risks and lessons learnt, compliance with process (review etc.) and ensure timely close-out.
  7. Ensure Design Review & Assurance process being followed including schedule of reviews.
  8. Internal meetings, general admin and coordination.
  9. Participate in reviews, including documents/deliverables, and design reviews including any pre- and post-work.
  10. Resource management including resource allocation and management of team.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering.
  2. Experience in plant design and project management, preferably in the steel or heavy industrial sector.
  3. Proven track record in large-scale greenfield projects.
  4. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
  5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
