Scandic is the largest hotel operator in the Nordics with a network of about 280 hotels and 58,000 hotel rooms in operation and under development in six countries. With a lot of curiosity and a truly customer-centric approach, we're creating the next generation digital experiences for our customers and guests.

Our goal is to create seamless, engaging, and intuitive experiences that drive both business growth and customer loyalty, and to support this journey we're looking for a UI-designer to join our digital experience team. In this role, you'll be at the heart of shaping Scandic's next-generation digital services.

In this role, you will create visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces for web and mobile with focus on user needs and behaviors, championing accessibility standards to ensure universal usability. You will create high-fidelity prototypes to validate your work and illustrate transitions and flows. We work in cross-functional teams and in agile sprints with rituals such as design critics, reviews and retrospectives.

What you'll do:
  • Own the design process from ideation and prototyping to high-fidelity execution and developer handoff.
  • Use insights and business goals together with customer feedback and real-life data to inform design decisions that create value.
  • Advocate for accessibility to ensure our products are inclusive and user-friendly, while keeping track of design trends, principles and best practices.
  • Collaborate with product owners, developers, researchers and design colleagues to push digital experiences forward.
Who are you?
  • 4+ years of experience in digital product design for web and mobile, with a solid understanding of various design methodologies.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to balance design decisions with commercial impact.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing your ability to solve usability challenges while delivering beautiful, intuitive UI.
  • Skilled in design tools like Figma, with documented experience of working within, and evolving, design systems.
  • Comfortable in agile environments, working in cross-functional teams and participating in sprints, design critiques, and retrospectives.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines.
  • Full working proficiency in English. Swedish is a plus but not required.
