The assistant lecturer is expected to eventually establish an independent research group. Responsibilities include:Attracting research fundingSupervising doctoral students and postdoctoral fellowsEstablishing research collaborations both within and outside KTHTeaching subjects at basic and advanced levels at the Department of Intelligent Systems and the Department of Computer ScienceSupervising degree thesesThe assistant professor will have the opportunity to develop independence as a researcher and gain accreditation for higher teaching positions. Following application, the assistant professor can apply for promotion to associate professor.Minimum RequirementsAn individual who has completed a doctorate or equivalent scientific competence is qualified for appointment. Candidates who met those qualifications a maximum of seven years before the application deadline should be prioritized. Other candidates may be considered under special circumstances such as illness or parental leave.Assessment CriteriaThe assessment criteria for appointment as an assistant professor at KTH are stated in KTH's appointments procedure section 1.3.
