Location: Full Remote - Swedish candidates only
We're working with a rapidly growing YC-backed AI technology company looking for a Swedish-speaking Forward Deployed Engineer to join its engineering team.
This is not a traditional implementation or solutions role. You'll remain highly hands‑on technically while working directly with a Swedish customer, understanding their problems, translating those into technical requirements and helping build, integrate and deploy the product.
You'll work within a very small, high‑performing engineering team where ownership, speed and technical ability are extremely important.
Key Experience Needed
- Fluent professional Swedish
- Strong recent production experience with Python
- Full-stack or broad product engineering experience
- Experience working with APIs and backend services
- Ability to communicate directly with technical and non‑technical customers
- Evidence of independently building and shipping production software
- Comfortable operating in a fast‑moving startup environment
- Experience with React, Node.js, FastAPI, Django, Flask, PostgreSQL and cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP or Azure would be useful.
- Experience with Voice AI, speech‑to‑text, ASR, conversational AI, NLP or LLM‑based products would be particularly valuable but is not essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Work directly with a Swedish customer to understand technical and business problems
- Translate customer requirements into practical engineering solutions
- Build and adapt product functionality using Python and modern web technologies
- Develop integrations with customer and third‑party systems
- Work with APIs, backend services and data
- Deploy and support solutions in production
- Work closely with the core product and engineering teams
- Take ownership of projects from problem definition through to delivery
- Travel to customer locations when required
