Key Requirements:

  • 3rd level Building Services/ Engineering degree and/or trade background
  • Minimum 5 years' plus experience in a site-based MEP role
  • Experience working on hyperscale data centres

Key Responsibilities:

  • Align MEP activities to ensure they are completed safely, prioritizing the health and safety of all stakeholders.
  • Lead by example to ensure all stakeholders are aware of company-specific Health & Safety policies and procedures.
  • Be aware of hazardous energies and site-specific management strategies (Lock Out Tag Out).
  • Maintain a working knowledge of project Telecommunications, EPMS, BAS (BMS) Networks, and Security Systems, tracking installation compliance with specifications and program needs.
  • Understand project-specific commissioning requirements and assist in developing Commissioning Implementation Plans (CIPs) for Telecommunications, EPMS, BAS (BMS) Networks, and Security Systems.
  • Conduct site inspections of MEP and CSA works to ensure installation conforms to relevant requirements.
  • Coordinate that areas meet CSA and MEP Quality standards for advanced Beneficial Use in line with the master construction program.
  • Ensure stakeholders receive sufficient information to progress systems installation in line with the master construction program.
  • Ensure contractors and vendors are adequately resourced to complete works successfully.
  • Review the master construction schedule to identify opportunities for enhancing program delivery.
  • Review the site construction power system (Temporary Power) for compliance with system integration requirements.
  • Chair and input into onsite and offsite meetings with relevant project stakeholders.
  • Review and ensure system integrator stakeholders produce the following items:
    • Construction and Commissioning Programs reflective of the Master Construction Schedule.
    • Works execution documents and trackers.
    • Equipment Bills of Materials (BOMs).
    • Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
    • Progress reports reflective of their scope in alignment with their program.
    • All relevant Field and Vendor turnover/handover packs as required by the project.
  • Provide the project team with up-to-date information on progress and real-time risk items.
  • Report any non-conformance of QA/QC compliance and promote company standards.
  • Be aware of legal, practical, and regulatory responsibilities and escalate non-conformances as required.

Strong time management and communication skills are essential, along with computer literacy and the ability to prepare reports and administer necessary paperwork.
