We now have an exciting opportunity for a Software Engineer to join Danfoss Power Solutions to strengthen our System Development Tools team. We work with developing a set of tools (PLUS+1 Tools) to support our customers in creating and maintaining control software for their machinery.

This role will be based from our facility in Älmhult, Sweden, with some remote work possible up to 2 days per week.

Job Responsibilities

As our new Software Engineer, you will support the development with implementing new functionality in our tool chain. Your areas of responsibility will be to:

  • Contribute to the overall functionality of our tools
  • Participate in design and code reviews
  • Develop software solutions using a high-level language IDE
  • Provide maintenance and support for existing tool functions

Ideally, we are looking for candidates with experience in C# to develop Windows applications. But final tasks and responsibilities can be tailored according to the chosen candidate's experience, potential, and interest.

To thrive in this role, we would expect you to demonstrate:

  • Some experience in software development practices, processes, and design
  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical field
  • Fluent English language skills
  • Familiarity with C# and/or C++
  • Windows application development experience would be beneficial, as would experience in mobile or web application development
