Role Summary

As a senior design engineer you will design our boxes (externally and internally) and have the full responsibility to take your conceptual sketches to production-ready parts. You will become a specialist within our field and learn a lot about electric vehicles in general. Your design will impact the future

You will work in a highly cross-functional environment, within Scania and TRATON, leading activities around your design to ensure we have a world-class solution.

Job Responsibilities
  • Concept generation and technical problem solving
  • Define and secure test plans and test results
  • Work with installation- and layout teams to ensure a good solution
  • Close interaction with production and aftermarket to ensure good manufacturability and quality
  • Supervise junior colleagues and shape our way-of-working to ensure quality
Who You Are

You are a senior design engineer with proven experience in hardware development. To succeed in this role, you need to be structured, good at communicating and prioritizing your work tasks and have a problem-solving mindset. Team spirit and collaborating with your team mates is natural for you and you have a track record of motivating colleagues to achieve great results.

We believe you have an interest and understanding of technology, as well as an ability to navigate between details and a holistic view to find the optimal technical solution. Most important is that you have an willingness to be part of changing things for the better by being curious and open-minded. Ensuring we are in the forefront in the development of charging- and power distribution boxes

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience (min. 5-10 years) in mechanical design, within automotive or similar field
  • Preferably has worked with complex components, ideally casting, involving cooling and/or other flows. We believe prior experience from components such as gearboxes, engines, axles, exhaust systems would be a good fit
  • Experience in CATIA V5, Enovia, OAS, 3D Experience and FRAS is meriting
  • Demonstrated strong initiative and self-motivation in previous roles
  • You have a university degree ideally in electrical- or mechanical engineering or similar
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written); Swedish is a plus

This Is Us

Our team of 20 people is responsible for the high voltage system for the electric vehicles. We provide the hardware and architecture needed to charge the electric vehicles and to connect all the high voltage components such as batteries and the electrical machine to each other. Charging boxes, high voltage connection boxes and electric power take-off for bodybuilders are some examples of what we are developing.
