This is a temporary position until September 30, 2026.

Your role
As a Logistic Coordinator, you will play a key role in planning and coordinating transports – both for inbound and outbound deliveries to our customers. Your mission is to optimize logistics flows, select the best transport modes, and ensure shipments arrive on time and in the most efficient way possible. You'll collaborate closely with transport providers, internal teams, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless logistics operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan & coordinate transports: Ensure shipments reach their destination on time and in the most efficient way possible.
  • Optimize transport modes: Choose the best transport solutions based on cost, reliability, and sustainability.
  • Be the link between stakeholders: Work closely with transport providers, internal teams, and external partners to keep everything running smoothly.
  • Monitor & improve logistics flows: Track shipments, resolve issues, and proactively find ways to enhance processes.
  • Drive efficiency & compliance: Ensure all logistics activities align with regulations, quality standards, and our sustainability goals.
  • Handle invoicing & claims: Manage freight invoices, resolve claims, and ensure accuracy in logistics documentation.

Qualifications - What you bring to the team

  • Education: Degree in Logistics or a related field.
  • Work experience: In transport/logistics, preferably in heavy industry.
  • Language skills: Fluency in both Swedish and English (written & verbal).
  • Mindset & skills: A strong communicator with a hands-on approach, high resilience, and the ability to work independently as well as in a team. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a sharp eye for details.
  • Bonus points: Knowledge of international shipping, customs procedures, Incoterms, payment terms, and load securing.

You will be based in Sweden at one of Outokumpu's sites, preferably in Avesta, and report to Mathilda Deljerud Hamlin, Manager Road & Rail Logistics Advanced Coil SWE.
