Sustaining Engineering is part of the research and development department in Critical Care with the responsibility to govern and drive the design change related development for our released products and installed base. As part of our growth, we are strengthening our Sustaining Engineering team in Solna with a project manager running design change related projects.
In the role as project manager, you will be responsible for leading and organizing various design change projects where you will be in charge of the overall time plan, scope, and budget. The projects often include a large part of operational perspectives as the product is released to production and at our customers. You will be a key player within our R&D organization and will interact with almost all different functions on all levels.
What you will do
- Organize, drive, and lead successful cross-functional Design Change projects including investigations, pre-studies, design changes, and regulatory aspects.
- Ensure that project activities are completed within agreed limits and comply with the agreed objectives (quality, performance, cost, and time frames).
- Ensure that dedicated project resources are properly informed of the project's objectives and prerequisites. Participate in CC project planning activities.
- Ensure timely status and financial reporting in the project reporting system.
- Ensure timely status reporting to the steering committee according to set expectations.
- Take part in our transformation to agile methodologies.
- Work with the project office to develop and improve project management methodology.
The position is located at our site in Solna. The role requires occasional international travel. You will be reporting to the Director of Sustaining Engineering, R&D.
You will bring
- Academic background within Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Fluency in English, both written and oral, is required.
- Experienced leader with a proven background in project leadership, preferably in a technical environment.
- Good knowledge in management of agile projects and methods, as well as previous experience from working in regulatory industries are meritorious.
- Experience from working closely with Operations and Supply Chain related functions are meritorious.
