What You'll Get to Do:

  1. Your role will be to lead and mentor a diverse engineering team, providing technical guidance and actively participating in key technical discussions, while also contributing to hands-on development as needed. You will have the unique opportunity to shape and develop one of our critical product teams: the Discovery and Assessment team.
  2. People Leadership:
    - You will champion a high performing team culture, motivating individuals to contribute their best while providing constructive feedback when needed.
    - You will create a challenging yet supportive environment where team members are empowered to learn from facing complex problems and take ownership of their professional development.
    - You will strategically build and lead a high performance team to deliver innovative product solutions that drive growth, ensuring Detectify remains at the cutting edge of the industry.
  3. Technical Leadership:
    - You'll collaborate closely with the Product Manager to set and guide the team's technical direction, ensuring alignment with product outcomes.
    - You'll work hand-in-hand with senior team members to establish a coherent technical vision and strategy, contributing to an overall engineering strategy, that empowers the team to achieve its goals in a fast-paced environment.
    - You will with the team translate deep technical expertise in cybersecurity into product solutions that yield real business value.
  4. Strategic Leadership:
    - You'll take ownership of product delivery, ensuring the team consistently meets expectations in quality, security, and overall results.
    - You'll proactively communicate progress and challenges with the broader organization, stepping in to resolve impediments whenever necessary to keep the team on track.
    - You will align team goals with the company's objectives, develop and implement long-term strategies for success, and identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.

Skills & Requirements:
- You have several years of experience in technical leadership, preferably within a SaaS or a cybersecurity company.
- You have a proven track record of building high-performing teams that have driven product innovation and market growth.
- You love to work in a collaborative environment bringing out the best of everyone.
- You have a background in backend development with solid experience from API development, event-based architectures and domain-driven design as well as solid experience from cloud-first environments.
- Experience with pair programming and mob programming will be highly valued.
- You have experience with a range of agile technologies and the ability and experience to experiment with new methodologies and tools in a team.
