About the job.

At Alf, we're looking for a Senior DevOps/Platform Engineer to take a pivotal role in both building and evolving our Azure-based infrastructure. This is a hybrid position that blends core DevOps responsibilities with a growing focus on platform engineering.

You'll work closely with a team of senior engineers to enhance the efficiency, scalability, and security of our systems. While we have strong foundations in place, you'll have the autonomy to refine and optimize our infrastructure—laying the groundwork for an advanced, automated, and resilient platform.

This role is designed to evolve. While you will initially balance DevOps and infrastructure responsibilities, over time you will transition deeper into platform engineering—owning the tooling, architecture, and automation that will shape the next generation of our environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for Azure using Terraform.
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to automate build processes and deploy code using GitHub Actions.
  • Managing, scaling, and securing Azure-based cloud infrastructure, including Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
  • Implementing proactive monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting strategies to improve platform reliability and performance.
  • Driving automation across the stack to improve efficiency and reduce manual interventions.
  • Collaborating closely with senior engineers to develop best practices and continuously evolve our DevSecOps mindset.
  • Playing a key role in the long-term evolution of our platform architecture, with a focus on scalability, resilience, and security.
About you.

You are an experienced engineer who thrives at the intersection of DevOps and platform engineering. You bring a strong foundation in Azure, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines, coupled with hands-on experience managing containerized workloads on AKS. You have a passion for automation and infrastructure design, and you're excited about taking ownership of platform-level initiatives.

You enjoy working in collaborative environments and are proactive about improving processes, anticipating challenges, and contributing to a security-first culture. Experience with DevSecOps practices will be a strong asset as security is a key pillar of our infrastructure strategy.
