Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Specialist

We are looking for a skilled Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Specialist to join our IT team in Malmö/Lund. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, configuring, and managing Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environments using Microsoft AVD and Remote Desktop Services (RDS). You will play a key role in implementing security policies, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring seamless integration with other IT infrastructure components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure, and manage VDI environments using Microsoft AVD and RDS.
  • Implement and maintain security policies for virtual desktop environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to AVD and RDS systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate VDI solutions with IT infrastructure.
  • Monitor VDI performance and apply improvements as necessary.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to team members and clients.
  • Stay updated with latest developments in AVD, RDS, and virtualization technologies.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience with Microsoft AVD and RDS (designing, configuring, and managing virtual desktops).
  • Strong understanding of virtualization technologies (e.g., Hyper-V).
  • Experience with network protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with other IT infrastructure technologies (e.g., storage solutions, network security).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
  • Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
