We are looking for a Senior Gameplay Programmer to join our PAYDAY/PUBG collaboration project.

As a Senior Gameplay Programmer, you will be a pivotal member of our gameplay programming team. At an advanced level, you'll take on challenging tasks across a wide range of game systems—from player movement and weapon systems to sound implementation, network and support systems, game state machines, controllers, and more. You will take full ownership of each feature task, ensuring high quality and optimal performance.

In addition, you will work closely with peers and other departments to achieve the best outcomes, while also guiding and mentoring junior team members to help them realise their full potential. Your contributions will play a key role in shaping our projects and driving our studio's success.

Please note that this role must be based in Stockholm with Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday as set office days.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop gameplay code across a wide range of systems—including player movement, weapon systems, sound implementation, AI, network and support systems, game state machines, controllers, and more.
  • Collaborate closely with Game and Level Designers to support implementation and provide insightful feedback.
  • Proactively identify and communicate production dependencies (e.g., art, sound, network) to project leadership.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our codebase by providing constructive feedback on the work of the gameplay programming team.
Requirements:
  • Experience with Unreal
  • Familiar with performance profiling and debugging
  • Familiarity with Perforce and/or other version control systems.
  • Experience working on an online coop/multiplayer game.
  • Experience mentoring team members

  3. 1h Google Meet call with two members of the project
  4. 1h onsite meeting (for those that are local) or Google Meet call with our Head of Technology
