Senior Rewards Consultant

We are seeking a talented individual to join our team at Mercer. This role will be based in Stockholm. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

Our Rewards practice specializes in providing best-in-class compensation and benefits consulting services, advising our clients on a wide range of issues that directly impact their business, from reward strategies to executive compensation and performance management.

As a Senior Consultant, you will play a crucial role in leading and delivering rewards consulting projects while providing exceptional services to our clients. Your expertise will be highly valued as you lead complex consulting projects and offer strategic recommendations to address a wide range of client issues. We also appreciate your willingness to expand your knowledge and extend your exposure to future projects related to our Transformation Services, including skills-powered organizations, HR transformation, organization design, and change management.

In the projects we deliver to our clients, you will have the opportunity to take on various roles and responsibilities. Some examples of these roles include:

1. Developing Reward Strategies & Policies
   Help our clients design innovative reward strategies through co-facilitating workshops and design sessions.
2. Design and implementation of Job Architecture
   Help our clients set up Job Architecture by taking on a project manager role, where you will plan and execute the project from start to finish.
3. Conducting Client Interviews and delivering workshops
   Engage with CxOs and CHROs to understand their organization's challenges, reward philosophy or deliver design workshops as part of a project delivery.
4. Preparing and Presenting Project Outcomes
   Co-present project outcomes to HR leadership and provide recommendations supported by change management and implementation plans.
5. Advising on Compensation & Benefits Structures
   Conduct diagnostics of current and target reward models (as-is & to-be state) and research best market practices to create solid recommendations and solutions.

   Facilitate client meetings (e.g., workshops, focus groups, and other collaborative sessions) and act as a trusted advisor to clients (in presence or remote).
4. Conduct and Deliver High-Quality Analysis and Presentations
   Utilize your analytical skills to conduct thorough analysis and deliver high-quality presentations, reports, and other deliverables to effectively communicate findings, recommendations, and progress to clients.
5. Focus on Client Retention
   Nurture existing accounts by proactively maintaining day-to-day client relationships, ensuring their satisfaction, and addressing any concerns or challenges that may arise.
6. Thrive in a Team-Based Environment
   Collaborate effectively with colleagues, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and mutual support.
7. Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Trends and Share Insights
   Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in rewards consulting, and share knowledge and insights with clients and colleagues.

What you need to have:

1. Higher education: Degree level in Management, Economics, HR, or equivalent.
2. 5+ years of experience preferably in Compensation and Benefits, HR, and Rewards consulting.
3. Consultative client-facing experience: Experience in consulting firms with a focus on rewards consulting, compensation structures, or a related field with demonstrated ability to build strong relationships.
4. Excellent command of English and Swedish: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
5. Advanced proficiency in MS Office programs: Particularly Excel, with the ability to manipulate and present data accurately and efficiently.
6. Strong interpersonal skills: Ability to interact across all levels of the organization.
7. Effective time management: Ability to manage multiple & changing priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver consistently high-quality work.
8. Analytical and problem-solving skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and recommendations.
9. Attention to detail and accuracy: Essential for both numerical and written work.
