Associate Professor in Information Systems with a Focus on Information Security - Luleå

Subject Description
The research subject Information Systems focuses on the design and use of information technology in relation to humans, organizations, and societies.

Duties
As an associate professor, you will be responsible for developing the subject at the undergraduate, advanced, and research-education levels. You are expected to:

  • Teach and develop courses as well as examine students in the information security courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
  • Contribute to the development of the subject.
  • Supervise graduate students (master's and PhD).
  • Conduct and publish research in indexed and top-class information security outlets.
  • Apply for, lead, and collaborate on research and industry projects.
  • Communicate and disseminate research results through conference participation and other scholarly mediums.
  • Collaborate with the surrounding society.

Qualifications
Qualified candidates must demonstrate both research and teaching expertise. To meet the requirements for the position, the applicant:

  • Must have a research profile showing clear progress after the completion of the doctoral thesis, with scientific contributions corresponding to at least two doctoral theses.
  • Must have experience in research-related commissions of trust.
  • Must have experience in applying for and being granted external funding for research and/or development projects.
  • Must have published research output with researchers from different environments.
  • Must have experience supervising doctoral students and must have completed higher education pedagogy courses equivalent to 7.5 higher education credits.

  • Other assessment criteria including knowledge of information security from an organizational perspective and ability to collaborate within the university and the surrounding community.
