About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled Solutions Architect to lead our data modeling efforts and manage the technical setup and use of our visualization tools. In this role, you will be at the forefront of transforming our data landscape, guiding the creation of domain-specific datasets that are scalable, performant, and highly usable for business needs.
Your primary responsibility will be to support data analysts in building robust data models and business logic for various business areas, establishing best practices to support innovation, scalability, and quality. You will also ensure the effective use of important features within our visualization tools. This includes defining standards for development and deployment of reports, as well as their accessibility for business users.
Your expertise will be crucial in enhancing our data infrastructure and ensuring that our analytics capabilities meet the demands of a dynamic business environment. In addition to technical expertise, we value strong interpersonal skills and the ability to adapt to various roles and responsibilities within the Verdane team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and manage data modeling work (currently done in dbt and Power BI semantic models) to support business decision-making, ensuring performance, data quality, and usability.
- Define and promote best practice standards across the team, ensuring good data quality and a reliable source of truth for the organization.
- Oversee the technical setup and maintenance of visualization tools, ensuring optimal use of features for deployment, usability, and distribution of reports and other data products.
- Guide team members in developing domain-specific datasets, within areas such as finance, HR, deal processes, fund data, and operational benchmarks.
- Optimize existing data models to meet evolving business requirements and use cases.
For this role, we are looking for someone who is organized and process-oriented with a natural ability to pay attention to detail. You have a genuine interest in data-driven decision-making and how insights can drive value across the organization. Your strong analytical skills and solid judgment enable you to make decisions rooted in both business insights and common sense.

- Strong understanding of business analytics needs and the ability to translate them into technical solutions.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the versatility to adapt to diverse tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Proven experience in data modeling, business intelligence, and analytics.
- Understanding of analytics best practices and star schema design.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, with a focus on data quality.
- Previous experience in a similar role within a business analytics environment.
- Experience with data warehousing concepts and business intelligence tools.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and other data manipulation languages.
- Minimum bachelor's degree in computer science, industrial economics, finance, or business analytics.
