Your role
Saab in Luleå is in an expanding phase, we are now looking for a manager for our section Airborne Products and DevOps.
The section includes one software development team and two DevOps teams, responsible for our development and build environments, as well as our deliveries. In this role, you will be involved in driving strategic work regarding competence supply and technology development.
You will be responsible for around 15-20 employees and consultants, most of whom have an educational background in Computer Science. You are expected to have a coaching leadership style and will work with both operational and strategic issues in close collaboration with the rest of the management team in Luleå and other Saab sites.
Your responsibilities include ensuring that the business reaches its set goals and runs efficiently with a high delivery capability in software development. You will also ensure that prescribed processes, methods, and tools are used so that our development assignments meet customer and authority requirements and standards.
As part of the office's management team, you will be involved in driving and developing our entire capability and delivery.

Your profile
You should have a strong interest in software and experience in software development, with confidence in making technical decisions. You are committed to leadership and have a desire to inspire and motivate your employees. Experience in leadership roles such as manager, team leader, or project manager is essential.
A technical university education with a focus on software development is preferred. You should be result-oriented, reflecting in your planning, prioritizing, and actions. We are looking for someone who is driven to develop both themselves and others.
This position requires passing a security vetting based on current regulations around security protection. For positions requiring security clearance, additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
