We are further strengthening our Continuous Services Strategic Sourcing team and are now looking for a Senior Sourcing Manager to join our team. To excel in this role, you need to have extensive experience in strategic sourcing and supplier management, executing sourcing initiatives, and have a structured, highly collaborative & impact-driven working approach.

Key responsibilities:

  • Actively seeking new opportunities for sourcing initiative pipeline and executing strategic sourcing initiatives, focusing on software licenses agreements.
  • Taking the lead in planning and executing strategic sourcing initiatives, cultivating strong collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Sourcing business partner for designated business stakeholders.
  • Developing category plans to capture short- and long-term business opportunities with financial impact and plan execution of sourcing initiatives.
  • Proactively leading, planning, and driving negotiations, particularly for larger, complex sourcing initiatives.
  • Managing and securing up-to-date supplier contracts.
  • Supplier management for designated suppliers. Driving and developing strategic supplier relationships in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Providing direction to buyers on suppliers and contracts, to ensure compliance, quality, and efficiency in the purchase-to-pay process.
  • Constantly seeking opportunities to simplify and work in a more efficient way.
  • Contributing to overall team performance as an active member of the sourcing team.

We operate as one integrated Sourcing function. You will be a member of the Continuous Services Strategic Sourcing team and report to Monica Derksen.

Personality & working style:

You are an engaging and business-minded sourcing professional with extensive experience in strategic sourcing and a proven track record of negotiating significant sourcing initiatives and supplier management to ensure execution of the negotiated deal:

  • Doer who has a bias for action & delivering impact – highly structured way-of-working, impact-oriented approach, and independent (self-starter) working style.
  • Influencing and presenting skills – you have the ability to communicate effectively both with executives and specialists and a genuine desire & ability to deliver business impact to the company.
  • Highly analytical & fact-based – you can both see the big picture, identify long-term trends, and drill down to drivers when needed. You use data to drive real business benefits and bring speed to decision-making and execution.
  • Result-oriented project manager - Being able to identify new opportunities to create impact, prioritize the work, and secure successful implementation of these initiatives.
  • Highly skilled in negotiation, indirect influencing, and selling ideas in complex matrix organizations.
  • Team player who can contribute to teamwork, also in areas outside of own direct responsibilities.

Experience & education:

  • 10+ years of strategic sourcing experience with a proven track record of negotiating significant sourcing initiatives and managing global suppliers.
  • Experience in working with global software and/or hardware suppliers is preferred.
  • Experience in software licensing from infrastructure, security and compliance, and cloud-based solutions business models is preferred.
  • Proven negotiation skills.
  • Experience in building and managing strategic supplier relationships to maximize value.
  • Experience of managing spend and using TCO (total cost of ownership) to minimize waste.
  • Experience from working in an international organization with complex business models and matrix organization.
  • M.Sc. from a relevant field.
  • Fully proficient in written and verbal English communication skills.
