The Opportunity:

We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Quality Assurance Engineer with a strong background in embedded software and a keen interest in electronic components. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards in our embedded software products, with a particular focus on the integration and functionality of electronic components. This role requires a blend of software testing expertise and a solid understanding of electronics to effectively identify, analyze, and resolve quality issues.

Embedded Software Testing:

  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for embedded software systems.
  • Perform functional, regression, and performance testing to ensure software reliability and performance.
  • Utilize automated testing tools and frameworks to enhance testing efficiency.

Electronic Component Integration:

  • Collaborate with hardware engineers to understand the integration of electronic components within the embedded system.
  • Test and validate the interaction between software and electronic components to ensure seamless functionality.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues related to electronic components and their impact on software performance.

Quality Assurance Processes:

  • Develop and maintain QA documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
  • Implement and adhere to QA processes and best practices to ensure consistent product quality.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to developers to improve code quality.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, hardware engineers, and product managers, to ensure alignment on quality objectives.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on testing progress, issues, and resolutions.
  • Advocate for quality throughout the product development lifecycle.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in quality assurance, particularly in testing embedded software systems.
  • Strong understanding of electronic components and their integration within embedded systems.
  • Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, or similar.
  • Familiarity with embedded systems development and debugging tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality products.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.

This would be a plus but not a must

  • Experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to embedded systems and electronic components.
