As our Senior QA Manager, you'll be part of the Product team, collaborating closely with Engineering to integrate best practices in manual, automated, performance, and security testing. You will define and execute the QA strategy that keeps our releases stable, efficient, and user-centric. This role requires strategic leadership combined with hands-on testing to maintain a seamless, reliable user experience in a dynamic startup environment where flexibility and adaptability are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and implement a comprehensive QA strategy covering manual, automated, performance, and security testing.
  • Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering to integrate QA best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain automated test suites and manual testing plans to ensure reliable, user-centric releases.
  • Analyze user feedback and quality metrics to continuously identify improvement opportunities.
  • Drive improvements in test coverage and automation, optimizing release processes and reducing manual overhead.
  • Establish and lead the QA function, managing QA tooling, processes, and resources as the company scales.
  • Foster a culture of quality ownership through mentorship, collaboration, and transparent communication.

What We're Looking For

Required Experience & Skills

  • 3+ years in QA, combining process definition with hands-on testing experience.
  • Strong background in backend, web, and mobile testing (iOS and Android).
  • Hands-on experience with automated test frameworks (e.g., Cypress, Selenium, Playwright).
  • Proficiency in scripting and software development for test automation.
  • Experience with distributed version control systems (Git) and CI/CD tools.
  • Knowledge of various testing paradigms, such as black-box, white-box, unit, integration, and regression testing.
  • Familiarity with agile development and test management tools.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

These qualifications aren't mandatory but will significantly strengthen your application:

  • Experience leading or establishing a QA function: Beneficial as you'll set and drive the QA function's strategy, providing the foundation for future scalability.
  • Experience with cloud computing, virtualization, and containerization: Valuable for managing testing environments, including emulators and simulators, enhancing test coverage and reliability.
  • Knowledge of Behavior-Driven Development (BDD): Beneficial for integrating BDD principles into agile workflows, improving collaboration across teams.
  • Background in social platforms or consumer-facing applications: Helpful to quickly understand user needs and drive impactful improvements to user experiences.
