The Satellite Management Service division in SSC is focused on providing high quality and innovative ground station services to our customers - the spacecraft operators. WHAT YOU WILL DO

We offer the opportunity to join the Software unit within SSC Connect, which is entrusted to develop and maintain critical systems required to connect our customers with their satellites.

Our core business is to deliver satellite data to our customers, and the Data Engineering team owns critical components in this process. Their software ensures fast and reliable data delivery, as well as providing great observability for our customers and NMC.

As a Software Engineer in the Data Engineering team, you will build and maintain:

Systems used for data transfer and observability
Data pipelines and KPI calculations
Dashboards and reports

You have a European citizenship and can travel within and outside Sweden if needed. As this position is critical to the operations of the SSC Services, it may include outside of standard working hours working and/or being part of an on-call team with up to 1 week on-call per month.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

B.S. Computer Science or Computer/Software Engineering, or similar experience
2+ years of building and maintaining operationally critical systems
Experience of implementing dashboards in tools/systems like MS Power BI or Grafana
Implementation skills in Python, SQL and Flink
Familiar with Git and Linux
Fluency in English

Experience from containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes)
Familiar with AWS
Familiar with Spark
Experience with message bus technologies like NATS/Kafka
Experience of DevOps and CI/CD Methodologies
Experience from the space industry
