Arbetsbeskrivning

Do you want to work with advanced ASIC development in the forefront of technology? Are you ready to join a team responsible for the very heart of the Axis products - the ARTPEC SoC chip - where your contribution really matters and where team collaboration is the way to success? We are now looking for a senior ASIC System Engineer with focus on DRAM & Highspeed interfaces to further strengthen our ASIC System team in Lund.

Who is your future team?

The ASIC System team plays an important role in the development of next generations of ARTPEC SoC chips. The team takes an active part in both previous and ongoing ASIC projects as well as monitoring of design flows and technology trends that are crucial for future generations of ARTPEC SoC chips.

The ASIC System team consists of Project Managers, System Architects, and Implementation Engineers. Our team is responsible for the overall specification as well as implementation and the execution of the ASIC projects. We work in close collaboration with our ASIC vendor, our internal RTL design and verification teams as well as key internal stakeholders to specify and implement the required functionality of the SoC design.

We are a highly skilled and motivated team with a mix of both junior and senior team members. Our strength lies not only in the individual competence of each team member but also in the open working environment and strong collaboration within our team. We are now looking for a Senior ASIC System Engineer with focus on DRAM & Highspeed Interfaces to strengthen our team and AXIS digital ASIC development.

What you will do as ASIC System Power Engineer

In this role, you are going to work on power modeling, analysis and correlation tasks for ARTPEC SoCs, including:

  1. Define chip power specification
  2. Define and generate power vectors with DV support
  3. Generate pre-silicon power estimations
  4. Analyze and identify power reduction
  5. Build power model for key use cases
  6. Post-silicon power correlation

You will be part of the SoC architect team and will also work closely with design, verification, implementation and PCB development teams internally as well as with external partners.

Who are you?

We're seeking an experienced ASIC/SoC Integration Engineer to join our team, focusing on supporting the integration of high-speed interfaces, particularly DRAM interfaces such as LPDDR5 and LPDDR6, into complex SoCs. The ideal candidate will have expertise in signal integrity, power integrity, and IP selection to ensure robust and reliable interface operation.

You are an analytic and dedicated team player with a strong personal drive and an ability to work both unsupervised and as a part of a team. You have an ability to create and maintain the needed network for your task including internal stakeholders and external partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Integrate high-speed interfaces (DRAM, PCIe, USB, etc.) into SoCs, ensuring signal integrity and power integrity
  • Select and configure IP blocks for high-speed interfaces, collaborating with IP vendors as needed
  • Analyze and mitigate signal integrity issues, such as crosstalk, jitter, and noise
  • Optimize power delivery networks to meet high-speed interface requirements
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful SoC integration and validation
  • Stay current with emerging industry trends and standards in high-speed interfaces
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in ASIC/SoC integration, with focus on high-speed interfaces
  • Strong understanding of signal integrity, power integrity, and electromagnetic compatibility principles
  • Experience with high-speed interface protocols (e.g., LPDDR5, LPDDR6, PCIe, USB)
  • Familiarity with IP selection and configuration processes
  • Proficiency in relevant EDA tools (e.g., Cadence, Synopsys) and simulation software
Nice to Have
  • Experience with IBIS-AMI modeling and simulation
  • Knowledge of power delivery network design and optimization techniques
  • Familiarity with system-level design and integration

The position is office-based, and you will be located at Axis HQ in Lund, Sweden. Travels may be needed but not required on a frequent basis.
