Who we are

Reason Studios have been pioneers in the music industry since the dawn of the classic loop editor ReCycle and ReBirth, which emulated the TB-303 Roland Bass Line and TR-808 Drum Machine hardware. Our software has played a crucial role in electronic music and hip-hop ever since then. These days, we focus on Reason, a digital audio workstation known for its virtual Rack interface, which offers a modular approach to music production.

Our mission is to turn music dreamers into music makers.

About the role

We are looking for a UX Designer to join our newly set-up cross-functional Beginner team focusing on the beginning of the music making journey in our music production application Reason. This team will be mixing development that has immediate effects for the users and exploration and research of promising ideas. Curiosity and bringing ideas to the table is highly encouraged. You will ensure we have the best possible user experience in terms of simple and intuitive workflows.

As a start, you will mainly work within the Beginner team but also team up with our other UX Designers for general UX matters. As you get into the role, you have a good opportunity to grow professionally and in responsibility.

Who are you?

You want to make an impact on the music making experience. You have a curious, open mindset and a strong interest in understanding music makers and creating the best possible experience for them.

You are used to and follow modern UX principles and best practices. You are self-driven as well as used to teaming up with others. Visual design skills is a nice bonus.

You are comfortable in both spoken and written English. For this role, you need to be authorized to work in Sweden.

We believe you agree on the majority of these statements about you:

  1. At least 3 years of professional experience in UX/UI
  2. Comfortable working in Figma or similar - setting up mockups, prototypes and such
  3. Experience in designing desktop applications
  4. Experience in user testing
  5. Experience in using music production software
