Your role and responsibilities
Are you interested in transforming the energy landscape and promoting business growth in an international environment? As a Senior Sales & Business Development Manager for Synchronous Condensers at ABB's division Large Motors and Generators in Sweden, you will oversee the creation of market opportunities, establish lasting relationships with customers and partners, and direct solutions that enhance grid stability. This is a role where technical knowledge meets strategic business development, offering an opportunity to shape the energy transition.

Examples of responsibilities:
- Responsible to follow the market, find leads, understand the trends, and discuss with potential partners/customers.
- Develop and follow the strategy and build relationships with both potential partners and customers.
- Responsible to find opportunities, support the customers during the different phases, develop suitable business models, deliver quotations, support with pricing issues.
- Put together attractive offers to our customers and follow up.
- Participate in social media discussions, conferences, and trade shows for power systems, energy storage, wind, solar, and mining. Follow discussions and information created by the regulator (AEMO) and TNSPs related to grid stability and the electricity market (ancillary services).
- Marketing of our products and services, as well as provide training for customers and other stakeholders.
- Understanding of grid stability requirements and other competing technologies.
- Understanding of transmission systems operators as well as distribution systems.
- Experience in long-term projects and relationship building with high-level commercial and technical partners.
- B. Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical or Mechanical engineering, or equivalent.
- Experience from public contracting/tenders, sales, and working with EPCs.
- Well-developed cooperation skills and interest in building relations as well as a systematic, self-directed, responsible, and flexible attitude to work. Always with the customer in mind.
- Great communication skills in English and Swedish.
ABB Large Motors and Generators (Machines) develops, sells, designs, and manufactures large motors and generators for various applications. For four- and six-pole machines, as well as synchronous condensers, we have global responsibility within ABB and deliver to all continents.
