We are looking to hire a Senior Tools Programmer to join our Central Tech team supporting multiple in-development projects. As a Tools Programmer, you will be responsible for developing and improving in-engine tools and automated CI/CD pipelines for your colleagues across production.

The Central Tech team is responsible for delivering software and software infrastructure which is shared across Starbreeze projects from the cooperative heists of PAYDAY to our upcoming Dungeons & Dragons adventure and beyond.

As a Senior member of our studio, you will be expected to contribute at a more advanced level, whilst also guiding and mentoring less experienced colleagues. You will also collaborate with peers and other departments to achieve optimal outcomes and solutions, and bring the Central Tech team's perspective into cross-departmental discussions and look at how tech can aid our ideas and products.

Please note that this role must be based in Stockholm with Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday as set office days.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop, improve, and maintain in-engine tools to support production teams;
  • Implement and refine automated CI/CD pipelines for smooth development workflows;
  • Contribute to the building of and support our internal services infrastructure;
  • Actively work to improve the tools related user experience for people within the studio;
  • Mentor and support less experienced colleagues within the Tools and Central Tech teams.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Tools Programmer or similar on multiple AA+ PC/console games;
  • Experience working with Unreal Engine 4 and/or 5;
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines;
  • Strong programming skills with a focus on scalable, maintainable solutions;
  • A proactive approach and the ability to identify, develop and implement workflow improvements;
  • Previous experience in a Senior position mentoring less experienced colleagues.
Interview process:
  1. 30-minute introductory video call with a member of our Talent Acquisition team;
  2. 60-minute video call with two members of our Central Tech team;
  3. 60-minute video call or onsite interview with our Technical Producer and a member of an adjacent team;
  4. 15-minute introductory video call with our Head of Technology.
