Job Description:WHY OATLY?

Across the world people's consumption habits and diets are evolving to be more plant-based. Enter Oatly, the #1 oat-based dairy alternative producer in the world with products spanning multiple categories.

We're determined to be part of the discussion on the long-term future of the food and beverage industry. To keep this movement going, we need more brilliant minds to come work with us to keep the momentum going and the Oatly flowing.

Our sole purpose as a company is to make it easy for people to turn what they eat and drink into personal moments of healthy joy without recklessly taxing the planet's resources in the process.

Sustainability, nutritional health, and trust are at the heart of what we do. We are building a culture that constantly upgrades each other so we can upgrade the planet. This is a company that shows great respect and a fearless approach to make positive change. Does this feel exciting? Well, this is where you come in.

Here's what it's all about

Oatly is growing and we are looking for a Regulatory Affairs Market Manager to support our Europe & International Markets. You will be responsible for day-to-day support to our business, revising product composition, labelling, and other commercial materials. Another important task is to keep the organization updated on the changes occurring in this geographical area and respond to customers or authorities' inquiries.

In this role, you will work closely with other departments such as Innovation, Creatives, and our Commercial organization.

Here's what you will do:
  • You will be responsible for creating and maintaining a regulatory network in the assigned markets and stay on top of the latest food regulatory developments.
  • Support Innovation and TPM organizations with new innovations and lifecycle projects, ensuring product compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure recipe and labelling/stickering compliance in the assigned markets.
  • Carry out all operational regulatory tasks related to placing Oatly products on the markets, including authority registration/notification if applicable.
  • Be the contact point for local authorities and certification bodies.
  • Support the local organization during authorities and organic certification audits.
  • Validate communication materials such as point of sale or online advertising.
  • Represent Oatly in external meetings/conferences when regulatory expertise is needed.

In this role, you will report to the Global Director of Regulatory Affairs and Sustainability Compliance.

WHAT WE NEED YOU TO BRING TO THE TABLE

Besides having an analytic mindset and a keen eye for detail, we also believe that you are a genuine team player who welcomes ambiguity as an opportunity to move forward and is comfortable with change. Collaboration is in your nature; you dare to try different things but are also happy to admit failure and learn more. You have great communication skills and easily establish relations with colleagues and stakeholders at any level.

Other key competencies & experiences:
  • Bachelor's or master's within food quality/food safety or law school with food as a master.
  • 5+ years of experience in a food regulatory and compliance role.
  • Knowledge of European food law and Codex Alimentarius and ability to investigate and navigate complex topics.
  • It is a huge merit to have experience working with countries outside the EU (MEA Countries).
  • Experience in performing horizon scanning and sharing knowledge in the organization.
  • Ability to engage with national authorities.
  • Presentation, precision, and analytical skills.
  • As we act in a truly global setting, your communication skills in English must be excellent, both verbally and in writing.
WHO WE NEED YOU TO BEWe think your oatsomeness is built upon the following qualities:
  • You are a passionate advocate for sustainability who strives to create societal shifts and drive the plant-based revolution.
  • You have problem-solving skills essential for identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
  • You are highly collaborative and understand that our success as a company depends on our ability to work together to find innovative solutions.
  • You have a charismatic presence and a knack for steering conversations while diplomatically focusing the room on what matters.
  • You are an entrepreneur at heart, with the know-how to create forward momentum and the stamina to relentlessly drive the process.
  • You are comfortable with ambiguity and chaos, energized by the challenge of building something lasting that benefits both the world and its people.

To be the perfect fit for Oatly, we believe you have a thirst for knowledge and are a result-driven person with high integrity. You thrive with a hands-on approach, even in times of rapid change. Your social competence allows you to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.

Finally, we hope that you share our values and have a great interest in carrying out our mission in order to make the world a little bit better.

Last day of application: 20th of March.

We treat all candidates equally: If you are interested, please apply through our application system - any correspondence should come from there. This will ensure that the candidate experience is smooth and fair to everyone
