This position reports to
Procurement Manager

Your role and responsibilities
This key role within Supply Chain Management is about supporting projects during tendering and execution phases by finding the best suppliers, solutions, and conditions to win and execute projects. You will represent Supply Chain Management in Sales and Delivery projects in various process industry segments, as well as having a local responsibility for some selected supply categories. This could be your chance to take an active part in the energy transformation ongoing in the world. We are typically using the tools SAP, SAP Ariba, and ABB Procure.

Your main responsibilities
  1. Support Sales in tender phase and Project management during execution by making sure ABB has suppliers' full support, priority, and dedication.
  2. Plan and execute procurement activities for tenders and projects to support objective achievements in terms of cost/budget, schedule, and supply quality.
  3. Drive the sourcing process for critical Components and Services together with colleagues within Supply Chain Management and ensure best value for ABB by negotiating Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), quality, and Terms & Conditions.
  4. Actively optimize tenders and projects from the supply point of view and ensure reporting of KPI's.
  5. Act as a primary interface with the Tender and Project teams, as well as with colleagues within Supply Chain Management such as Global Category teams, on all SCM matters.
  6. Local responsibility for selected supply categories, ensuring an optimal supply base, onboarding of new suppliers, supplier development, and evaluation.
  7. Follow and ensure compliance with ABB procurement policies.
Qualifications for the role
  1. This position requires knowledge and experience about complex industry projects.
  2. Experience from interacting and negotiating with suppliers.
  3. Good understanding of contract negotiations, risk management as well as commercial and legal terms.
  4. Strong communication and networking skills.
  5. Project management skills is an advantage.
  6. Knowledge in the areas of automation, electrification, and digitalization is a merit.
  7. Technical interest and ability to solve problems independently.
  8. Business acumen.
  9. You are a team player, driven and self-going, structured and have a result-oriented mindset.
  10. Fluency in Swedish and English is a requirement.
