At Hydrotech, we are about 70 employees and our office and production are located in Vellinge outside of Malmö.

Job Description

We are looking for a Global Product Manager. This role is integral to the overall growth and profitability of Hydrotech products. You will own the product roadmap and develop short and long range revenue growth plans and competitive strategies for the product line on a global basis.

The Product Manager also leads long term planning and defining the overall business strategy with a focus on three primary areas:

Product roadmap and new product development
  • Monitor the market: Define and monitor product KPI's. Collect, analyse, and respond to customer inputs (Voice of Customer), incorporating VOC into the product pipeline and feeding back info on existing products to business. Monitor competitor activity, comparative positioning, etc.
  • Develop, align, and drive execution of product roadmap for product line, including new product introductions and expansion with existing products into new applications (working with technology and with commercial development)
  • Define and articulate high-level value proposition and product attributes. Translate those high-level concepts into meaningful collateral for use in new product commercialization (fact sheet, case studies). Develop and maintain product attributes, ensuring accurate costs, pricing, product hierarchies, and sales status. Train or develop training programs for internal colleagues and our customers on new product value propositions as part of new product commercialisation. Collaborate with marketing and commercial teams on marketing communications and launch plans.
  • Develop and maintain strong connections with internal and external (customers) to understand market drivers, value propositions and products competitiveness.
  • Work with supply chain and technology team to improve products quality performance based on VOCs, CITs (customer issue tracking) and other business intelligence.
  • Proactively manage the product line portfolio in cooperation with the Development Manager, Sales team.
Product Line Profitability
  • Develop market based price strategy, implementing regular price adjustments, and managing price exceptions through commercial operations business process.
  • Manage product costs (Standard Cost) in all production plants, and continuously drive down product cost working with sourcing (mat'l) and supply chain (productivity).
  • Track material cost, revenue, and margin rates by product, market, and region, and drive those metrics towards meeting our profitability targets.

You will travel about 20% of your working time.

What is required to succeed in the role of Product Manager?

We are looking for someone who has several years of experience working as a product manager.

To be successful in this position, we expect you to be goal-oriented, bring a lot of power of initiative, and have the ability to gain the trust of the people you communicate with, at the same time as you are unpretentious. We believe that you thrive in a role with both customer contact and technology focus.

You have a great understanding and interest in technology, at the same time as you have the ability to create a strategy around this vision, and drive a plan to execute. You have a good ability to lead projects forward and to communicate and engage those around you.

If you also already have the experience from working with global customers and competition experience with diverse, global teams in a matrix environment in the field of water and wastewater, this job will be perfect for you
