Vestas Technology & Operations > Manufacturing> Support and CI Production Engineering Nacelle - Continuous improvement team is responsible for the manufacturing life cycle management focusing on providing support to the product introduction at factories and ensuring smooth ramp / operational excellence during serial production.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and Guide Project Teams: Provide direction to factory operations team, offering leadership in resolving project challenges.
  • Plan and Implement with Precision: Ensure project planning aligns with global standards before implementation, with meticulous oversight of schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Monitor Performance and Report Progress: Track project deliverables, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets, while consistently reporting outcomes to global counterparts.
  • Anticipate and Solve Problems: Identify risks early, question assumptions, and find innovative solutions to avoid delays.
  • Promote Collaboration Across Teams: Partner closely with R&D design teams to meet product requirements and balance stakeholder interests.
  • Champion Safety and Compliance: Promote and ensure adherence to corporate safety standards, ensuring all team members receive proper training and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Support Stakeholder Relations: Act as a key point of contact for both internal teams and external partners, resolving issues and ensuring the Project KPIs are met.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business, OR a combination of academic background and relevant wind industry experience.
  • Solid experience in project management, primarily within industrial, manufacturing, or service-based industries.
  • We prefer a Certified PMP or Prince 2.
  • Ability to collaborate across diverse work groups and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Advanced English communication skills (verbal, written, active listening, meeting facilitation, and presentations).
  • Advanced proficiency in Project management toolbox and systems.
  • Safety-Focused: Upholds safety protocols in all projects, ensuring adherence to organizational standards.
  • Influential Leadership: Skilled in coaching, motivating, and guiding teams to deliver projects through indirect influence.
  • Strategic Action: Adapts strategic planning into measurable tasks, promoting cohesion and engagement among all team members.
  • Decision-Making & Problem-Solving: Handles conflict and change effectively, balancing risk with action to achieve results.
  • Accountability: Acknowledges the weight of decision-making, delivering work with integrity, efficiency, and a commitment to quality.
  • Clear and Open Communication: Effectively conveys ideas and listens actively, encouraging collaboration across all teams from different parts of Vestas world.
  • Inclusion & Continuous Improvement: Promoting a culture of strategic innovation, promoting continuous improvement and operational development throughout the project life cycle.

Additional information

Location: Lindø, DK. The first year expected travel will be up to 100 days to our new factory in Poland; after this, we expect around 10% travel activity on a yearly basis.
