We as a Platform Team support data producers, data consumers, and data governance teams making products discoverable with the right design and technology. The platform is enabled by technical services, software components, and frameworks.

Who you are

As a person, you have experience working with APIs, building applications & secure coding practices. You have proven abilities with DevOps practices and its supporting technologies. You have a curious nature and actively acquire new knowledge, skills, champion new methods, and processes to improve performance. You can independently drive tasks and find better ways to improve.

By encouraging simplicity, efficiency, ownership, and accountability, you easily collaborate with others to achieve our common goals.

To be successful as a backend engineer in the team, you have working experience of building APIs and applications within GCP. You are experienced with DevOps practices and supporting technologies, such as CI/CD, Terraform, and Google Cloud Platform Provider. You enhance system reliability, performance, and operational efficiency using Ingka best practices around service level objectives (SLOs), error budgets, and service level indicators (SLIs). Additionally, you have demonstrable experience in working in an Agile and DevOps working setup. You get energized by keeping high quality, compliant, and secure technical solutions promise.

Your Responsibilities

As Backend Engineer, your main responsibilities will include:
  1. Backend programming using Python building API first applications
  2. Utilize and lead the work with DevOps mindset
  3. Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles using tools like Terraform, GitHub, or similar technologies
  4. Working with secure best practices within GCP
  5. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability, performance, and operational efficiency using Ingka best practices around service level objectives (SLOs), error budgets, and service level indicators (SLIs)

  • Programming backend: Python, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes
  • Programming frontend: JavaScript/Typescript, React

We're a small team quite autonomous, self-organizing and self-sufficient in many ways, which means part of our daily work is to define how we get things done together. We are based in Helsingborg & Malmö.
