Working as an Atlassian System Engineer in Internal Operations

You will be part of a team focused on internal engineering and efficiency, paving the way for the rest of the development organization. The team's responsibilities include CI/CD environments, automation, tools, security, and system administration. Our current Atlassian suite includes both Atlassian Data Center and Cloud products, such as Jira, Jira Service Management and Confluence.

Your main responsibilities will most likely include:

  1. Administering and optimizing our Atlassian products—managing configurations, upgrades, and user provisioning across Data Center and Cloud.
  2. Automating administrative tasks and workflows through scripting or tools (e.g., Bash, Python, Ansible).
  3. Identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks, while ensuring security and compliance.
  4. Collaborating with stakeholders to align Atlassian solutions with evolving business needs.
  5. Continuously improving processes and environments—there's always room for innovation

In addition to these abilities, we also want you to:

  1. A few years of professional experience with Atlassian tools—preferably in both Data Center and Cloud environments.
  2. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, IT, or a similar field, with a strong academic record.
  3. Experience with system administration (Linux/Windows), automation/scripting, and basic networking concepts.
  4. Familiarity with authentication methods (LDAP, SAML, or OAuth) and security best practices.
  5. Fluency in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.

We consider it a great asset if you:

  1. Have experience in software development using agile methods.
  2. Know additional programming or scripting languages.
  3. Speak more languages than those required above.
  4. Pursue passions outside of work, whether in sports, music, the arts, or unique hobbies.
