What We Do
Swiftly gaining ground as Sweden's industry leader in battery storage and expanding rapidly in selected European markets, Flower is on a mission to enable the energy system of tomorrow.

With an industry-leading AI-powered platform at its core, our service includes stabilizing the energy system by enhancing predictability and flexibility for both energy producers and consumers. To accelerate towards our goal of becoming the pioneering force powering the energy system of tomorrow, we are now looking for a passionate and skilled Quantitative Developer.

About The Role:

As a Quantitative Developer, you will be responsible for setting up and maintaining the infrastructure and pipelines needed to host our trading algorithms. Working alongside a team of skilled data scientists, engineers, and developers, you will contribute to the development and deployment of the algorithms that form the core of our energy trading operations. Our tech stack includes Python, Golang, AWS, and Databricks.

You will be part of the Trading domain, collaborating with technical colleagues such as data scientists, engineers, and developers, as well as engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders across and beyond the Trading team. Your work will play a key role in one of the most important areas of Flower's expansion.

What You'll Do:

  • Design and maintain scalable pipelines and infrastructure for deploying, version-controlling, and backtesting trading execution and optimization algorithms.
  • Collaborate with ML Engineers and Software Developers to set up the necessary infrastructure.
  • Work closely with data scientists and market experts to develop and implement trading algorithms in the energy sector.
  • Partner with Data Engineers to ensure the ingestion of logs and data from algorithmic trading into our data platform, defining data contracts that align with regulatory standards in the energy sector.

Who You Are:

  • 3+ years of experience deploying and maintaining algorithmic trading models.
  • Strong programming skills in languages commonly used in data science, such as Python, R, or Julia.
  • Expertise in building and maintaining MLOps solutions for algorithmic model deployment in the cloud.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code best practices and tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Experience setting up and maintaining backtesting environments for algorithmic trading.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, self-driven approach.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to a range of audiences.
  • Experience developing algorithmic trading execution algorithms is a plus.
  • Background in the energy or financial sector is a plus.

Location
Our beautiful office is located in the heart of Södermalm just a short walk from Slussen subway station. We encourage in-office collaboration but support a hybrid work model.

Apply
Our corporate language is English, as we have over 20 nationalities in the office. We therefore appreciate it if you could submit your CV in English.
Throughout the recruitment process you will meet with the People & Talent Partner, Squad Head, Data Scientists and our CEO.

We look forward to hearing from you
