Do you want to be part of facilitating the green transition? Do you thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where your actions drive meaningful change? Do you enjoy solving hard problems together with ambitious people? If this sounds like you, this could be a perfect match.
Join us to facilitate the green transition
Electrification and the transition to fossil-free energy create fantastic opportunities for us as individuals, as a company, and for society at large. However, it also creates challenges, especially for our energy system. Ingrid Capacity is a new kind of energy company on a mission to shape the future of energy. We challenge conventional energy models with intelligent energy services for grid operators and users. By uniquely combining software, hardware, and commercial innovation, we tackle one of the biggest bottlenecks to the energy transition: electricity grid constraints. This enables us to accelerate electrification and contribute to a more resilient, competitive, and sustainable energy system. Our impact is here and now. Since our founding in 2022, we have built a leading electricity trading and optimisation platform, commissioned and now operate over 200 MWh of large-scale energy storage facilities, and have an additional 340 MWh under construction across Europe. Today, Ingrid Capacity is in a rapid growth phase.
Working with PR & PA at Ingrid Capacity
Our goal is to support Ingrid Capacity in becoming the top flexibility provider in Europe with 8 GW deployed capacity by 2030. To get there, we need to build our brand and be recognized as a thought leader in the energy transition, an ambitious goal that will require dedication and hard work. Our key stakeholders span across the energy sector, financial sector, government and policy makers, partners and offtakers, media and talents.
About the role
As a senior PR & PA Manager, you will be instrumental in building and strengthening Ingrid Capacity's brand, reputation, and influence in both the public, regulatory and political arenas. You will take a leading role in shaping how Ingrid Capacity is perceived in the media, by policymakers, and within the broader energy ecosystem across Sweden and Europe. You will develop and implement strategies for PR and PA and work hands-on to position Ingrid as a thought leader in the energy transition while advocating for policies that support the development of large-scale energy storage and digital solutions that will optimize the electricity grids. One key goal is for Ingrid Capacity to become a natural speaking partner to policy makers, regulators, media and other key influencers in the energy sector. As part of a small Communications team, you will work hands-on and collaborate together, reporting to our Head of Communications. You will also work closely with the rest of the organization and together, we are making sure our vision, initiatives and brand are visible and enhanced across all our target groups and core markets.
Key tasks and responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Shape Ingrid Capacity's PR and PA efforts, including strategy and roadmap development
- Stakeholder mapping across our key target audiences
- Pitch and prioritize media opportunities, coordinate internally, and guide spokespersons on talking points
- Develop content, storylines, and written materials, such as press releases and presentations
- Develop policy recommendations and responses to regulatory consultations
- Monitor legislation, policy trends and regulatory development impacting the energy sector in our core markets and on EU-level
- Build and nurture relationships with external stakeholders, including media, industry associations, government representatives, policy makers and regulatory bodies
- Support, guide and assist management and other departments with PR-related tasks
- Support with other communications work, e.g. internal communication, events and crisis management
- Establish and maintain relationships with external agencies
As Ingrid Capacity grows and expands to new markets, your responsibilities will most likely evolve.
Your work experience and expertise
- At least 8 years of experience in PR, public affairs, corporate communications, or a related field
- Several years of experience working in the energy sector / energy related topics
- Developing and executing PR and public affairs strategies and activities in a fast-paced organization
- Successfully designed and implemented PR initiatives on a European / international level
- Acting as a spokesperson for your company / field of work, both in external and internal contexts (e.g. invited to speak on panels)
- Strong knowledge of Swedish and EU energy policies, regulatory frameworks and governmental processes
- Bachelor's or Master degree in Business Administration, Communications, Public Relations, Political Science, Journalism or a related field
- Fluency in English and Swedish is essential; knowledge of other European languages is an advantage
Highly meritorious
- Existing relationships with relevant journalists, policymakers and/or industry stakeholders
- Worked closely with senior executives or public figures, such as a CEO and politicians
- Previous involvement in policy lobbying, government relations, or advocacy campaigns
- A similar journey in a comparable role
The experience listed above would all be interesting to add to the team, but you don't need experience in all of them to apply.
Your personal skills
To be a good match with the role, we believe you will enjoy a fast-paced environment where all policies and processes are not yet in place, and you will play a key role in shaping them. You're not afraid to take the lead and be the expert in your field. You are direct, honest and brave with a strong evidence-based approach to your ideas, activities and arguments. You have a unique balance of strategic and operational skills, and you are up to date with the latest events and news in relevant fields and are quick to act with a qualitative plan and solution. You are prestigeless and a team player. Most importantly, you have a deep knowledge of PR, with extensive experience and understanding of the impact of media attention and navigating the media landscape at a European level.

We are at the forefront of the global energy transition, dedicated to shaping the future of power generation. Our company is more than a workplace; it is a platform for innovation, where we dare to push boundaries and turn bold ideas into reality.
We firmly believe that the foundation of any successful company lies in its culture. At Ingrid Capacity, we understand that building a thriving organization demands more than just technology and innovation; it requires a company culture firmly rooted in trust, growth, and the ability to learn from mistakes. We believe that skills can be nurtured in a variety of contexts, starting from within oneself and growing together with people we trust.
