Information Security Specialist to Sweco IT

We are now looking for an Information Security Specialist to join us and to play a vital role to safeguard the confidentiality, integrity and availability of our systems and data.
The role:
You will work in the CISO Office as an Information Security Specialist with focus on Privacy and GDPR compliance at Sweco IT. This means that you will have privacy and security as your focus area and be dedicating 20 to 40% of your time to privacy-related tasks. In this capacity, you will ensure compliance with privacy regulations and support the organization with knowledge and guidance.
The remainder of your time will be focused on a broad range of other information security tasks together with the rest of the team. These include supporting the organization with ISO-27001 compliance, conducting compliance reviews, leading risk workshops, and providing guidance on privacy and information security matters. This role requires a quick learner who can analyse and adapt to new tasks efficiently. The CISO Office team handles complex tasks and large compliance areas; we therefore work closely as a team to analyse and understand and agree on the correct actions for new assignments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain privacy and security procedures and controls.
- Ensure compliance with legislation, standards, and regulations, such as GDPR, NIS2 and ISO27001.
- Provide guidance and training to employees on information security best practices.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that new systems and applications meet security requirements.
- Conduct regular risk assessments, penetration tests, and vulnerability scans.
About you:
You have a great interest in Information security, and you have the ability to be both detail-oriented and see the full picture. To be successful in this role, you need to have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities. You have a proactive and enthusiastic approach and enjoy communicating with colleagues at all levels. To drive your work forward you need to be self-motivated, structured and have an independent mindset. In the CISO team, we are always assigned new tasks which means that you have to be interested in adapting to a broad range of tasks. The CISO team is a small team, and our success is reliant on that we are working as a team. We rely on each other to do our tasks individually as well as constantly communicating and anchoring our work in the team.
Qualifications:
- Education in Computer science or Security.
- Experience in information security or related roles.
- Ability to communicate technical information effectively to non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency in English, in verbal and written.
