We are looking to recruit a motivated and structured candidate interested in providing excellent administrative support to our Underwriters, members, and brokers.

The role entails close cooperation with our underwriters, who are responsible for acquiring new business, maintaining existing business, and assessing risk.


Some of the work tasks include:

  • Handling underwriting matters for existing accounts and assisting in new business
  • Preparing renewals of relevant covers
  • Supervising and issuing various types of insurance documents
  • Filing and updating insurance conditions and clauses
  • Handling day-to-day policy issues as required
  • Handling Premiums
  • Maintaining contacts with brokers, members, industry organisations and mortgagees. Qualifications We believe you have post-high school education in insurance, business administration, shipping or similar. This role would be suited to candidates who have previous working experience with underwriting administration, brokering or any other relevant insurance role. Having experience in the marine insurance field is an advantage. As the position involves frequent contact with members, brokers, and colleagues in several countries, it is vital that you can express yourself accurately in English, both verbally and in writing. An eye for detail, as well as a good understanding of numbers, is required for this position, and so is also a good command of Excel. We look for a structured, meticulous, and motivated candidate who is happy to assist wherever a helping hand is needed.
