We are in search of a seasoned Developer to join our Access Management team in the Identity and Access Management (IAM) department. This position offers you the chance to be a part of a global team dedicated to our mission to Protect the Bank: De-risked, Compliant, Secure & Protected.

About this opportunity:

In IAM, we offer centralised IAM solutions and standardised services with the goal of enhancing the bank's security and acting as the primary contact for all Nordea units, using our solutions and services. IAM is part of Nordea's Cyber Security area.

As the Senior Developer, you will have a crucial role in enhancing our end-to-end solution for user authentication, including multifactor authentication, password self-service, and passwordless functionality. You will be accountable for both user experience and backend integrations with other bank systems. Your responsibilities will include developing new features, ensuring overall stability, and advancing the maturity of our solution.

What you'll be doing:

  • Enhancing our authentication services by designing and implementing new features to meet IAM compliance requirements and security standards and support evolving business demands
  • Participating in ongoing improvement of existing code and resolving bugs
  • Engaging in quality assurance, security testing, and maintenance activities
  • Serving as a technical expert and setting an example by adhering to software best practices and guidelines
  • Collaborating closely with colleagues and sharing knowledge

The position is based in modern offices in Helsinki, Stockholm, Oslo, or the TriCity area in Poland, with the option to work partially remotely. Please note that candidates should already be located in the hiring country.

  • Be a senior/expert full stack developer with operational skills, focusing on end-to-end solutions
  • Possess exceptional troubleshooting skills

  • Demonstrate strong technical proficiency and documentation skills

  • Collaborate closely with others to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain our end-to-end solution
  • Have fluency in English (spoken and written)

Your experience and background:

  • Experience in developing REST APIs using Java Spring Boot microservices
  • Proficiency in Angular/NodeJS/JavaScript/HTML/CSS for frontend development
  • Experience in integrating robust authentication methods in a UI
  • Experience with PowerShell and WebView
  • Proficiency in developer tools such as IntelliJ/Eclipse, VSCode, Git
  • Experience with Kubernetes
  • Skills in parameter usage and integration of National IDs like MitID, BankID, FTN
  • Knowledge of Linux and LDAP
  • Several years of proven experience working with authentication solutions like Multifactor authentication, Microsoft Windows Hello for Business, and hardware tokens
  • Understanding of Microsoft Entra, authentication methods and protocols, SSO, OIDC, SAML, Kerberos, etc.
  • Previous experience in a DevOps team in an Agile/Scrum setup
