This involves designing:

  • Our company's resource planning and logistics solutions on SAP S/4HANA
  • An integrated and hybrid SAP and surrounding system environment consisting of multiple instances (cloud and on-premises)
  • Solutions crucial for the Swedish infrastructure and society and regulated according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585)
  • Full IT/OT collaboration to ensure frictionless data transfer in (near) real-time to promote use cases for predictive maintenance
  • IT infrastructure and solutions with high security, scalability, and reliability
  • Strategic solutions/environments to optimize maintenance strategies for nuclear power

Our team needs skilled solution architects with business focus. You know how to use technology to make nuclear power work like a charm. You act as a timekeeper to ensure we reach our ambitious goals and sound the alarm if we can do even better. We have a strong SAP and Microsoft presence, with over users in six countries.

Our Group IT Architecture team, consisting of 30 Enterprise/Solution Architects, is involved in approximately 100+ key projects simultaneously, focusing on enterprise architecture and solution architecture for all Vattenfall's business units. We act as the hub to understand business needs and see the bigger picture for Vattenfall, helping our teams securely adopt tomorrow's technologies.

Your main responsibilities:

  • You will participate in major strategic projects to guide them to successful implementation based on appropriate architecture.
  • You will provide advice and educate nuclear operations on SAP, IT strategy, integration strategy, data strategy, and SAP strategy, among others.
  • You have a solid understanding of IT security and will support nuclear power plants in suitable adjustments.
  • You will have (or build) knowledge in nuclear power and SAP to become the primary contact person to promote their journey with S/4.
  • You will help us develop our Enterprise thinking and establish standards and architectural principles.

You will be our trusted advisor to our nuclear power plants and other business areas to enable their operating model through technology - even if it means radical change.

Qualifications

Our ideal candidate:

We are looking for an experienced solution architect with practical experience in SAP solution architecture, preferably (in previous assignments) as a SAP architect in the water or energy supply, manufacturing, or automotive industry.

You feel comfortable communicating with both IT and non-IT colleagues at various levels in the organization. You thrive in a constantly changing environment. Additionally, you have:

  • An academic degree in IT or a related field
  • Proficiency in Swedish and English
  • Experience in Enterprise architecture and frameworks in an international environment
  • In-depth technical knowledge in SAP and general IT knowledge
  • Worked in a capital-intensive industry and understand security aspects, IEC 62443, ISO27001, etc.
  • Experience with the Microsoft Azure Well Architected Framework
  • Ability to produce architecture documents ready for corporate use and to translate complex problems into concise actions for a board.

Location: For this position, you are expected to be based in Sweden with a willingness to travel regularly to the office (Stockholm, Solna). There may also be occasional trips to key nuclear sites, such as Ringhals, Forsmark, Oskarshamn, or team meetings in Amsterdam and Berlin. You are expected to travel approximately once a month for two days to these locations.
