About the role
Marsh is currently recruiting an Actuary to join the Marsh Analytics Solutions (MAS) team in the Nordics. MAS represents the engine room and the content creation part of Marsh's Business with its resources fully dedicated to risk modelling, benchmarking, loss parameterization and data science: to foster consistency, the MAS unit includes all activities related to risk retention strategies and risk financing optimization solutions. MAS activities also include actuarial support for financial institutions in producing solvency capital requirement and other reports required by regulation.
Reporting to the Analytics Solutions Leader in the Nordics, you will be responsible for actuarial analysis for major corporate clients and internal stakeholders. Working in concert with Marsh Captive Solutions and the local Marsh teams, the actuarial analysis created by you will support new and expanded revenue and client retention efforts.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide technical Solvency II actuarial analysis
- Financial optimization of client insurance portfolios and benchmarking
- Sound project lead skills ensuring projects are delivered on-time and to the high standards required of Marsh
- Work with MAS to develop new techniques, drive consistency and best practices
- Actively cooperate with the MAS team of the rest of the Continental Europe
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Math, Physics, Actuarial Science, Statistics or related field
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills. Understanding of actuarial principals and methodologies including Solvency II
- 3+ years of actuarial work experience preferably in a consulting environment
- Experience and knowledge from the insurance market is a prerequisite
- Excellent interpersonal skills; strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a demanding work environment
