Customers are accelerating smart manufacturing and predictive maintenance initiatives. New players such as IoT platform providers are emerging to support the customers in this transformation. Alfa Laval has seen this as an opportunity for new business models and partnerships, with success. After the launch of our Connectivity Solution for Gasketed Pate Heat Exchangers, we are now standardizing and streamlining the product further to ensure scalability as well as adaptability in a fast-changing environment. For this we are reinforcing the organization, and we are therefore looking for a Technical Product Manager.

About the job

You will be a member of the Global Service Management – Digital & Channel Team, consisting of 7 people. Furthermore, you will collaborate closely with other parts of the Organization, like R&D and the Automation Development Team.

The overarching task is to lead and coordinate the cross- functional activities for BU GPHE for the development of a sustainably scalable Connectivity Solution . The role will be based in Lund.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the operational product management efforts with a focus on user-facing software and hardware solutions to ensure the technical solution is matching the market demands
  • Follow market trends and adapt the Product to stay competitive over time
  • Drive scalability of the connectivity solution including standardization of offering and delivery, delivering quality & compliancy and customer satisfaction throughout the product life cycle
  • Drive continuous improvement of the technical product based on market feedback
  • Project Management for upgrades to new software and hardware versions including rollout to the market
  • Coordination and collaboration with different entities involved in delivering the technical product as well as sales of the product (R&D, Automation Development, Business Development & Sales)
  • Support the delivery as a third line of support as the technical expert in troubleshooting
  • Provide internal product training ensure quality delivery

What you know

We expect you to bring several years of experience in coordinating activities related to software development, ideally in the context of IoT. You have profound understanding of the software as well as the hardware used within the IoT context. You have a graduate degree in IT, engineering or equivalent. Experience as a software developer or in the context of Heat Transfer is a bonus, previous work experience as a product manager is good to have, but not a must. Fluent written and spoken English is a requirement.
