Role: Fortran Lead Enigneer

Location – Gothenburg, Sweden

Your role:

In the role of Technology Lead, you will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design. You will play an important role in creating the high level design artifacts. You will also deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty. Required:

• 8+ years of experience in coding in Fortran (90/95) to support ground software improvements/maintenance.

• Experience with preparation of operating instructions and utility programs (tools)

• Experience with Fortran structural analysis and material modelling

• Experience using the GNU Fortran compiler and associated Makefiles

• Experience running static analyzers ('Understand'/'Fortran Lint')

• Experience with Red Hat (6-8) operating system

• Knowledge of IDL

• Experience writing and performing unit tests and reports

• Experience in Problem Management/ RCA (counter measures) in support/ maintenance projects

• Experience in support activities like periodic routines like QUEUE / BATCH Monitoring, Disk Cleanup, Audits

• Should be able to train new members and support them

• Candidate ensures software standards are met

• Swedish language skills

Preferred:

• Experience (or knowledge) in transforming Fortran based applications to Java/ latest tech stack

• Experience (or good knowledge) in C/C++, Python or Java

• Experience in MATLAB (Functions, image processing, modelling)

• Writing/ updating scripts – perl/ python

• Familiarity with DevOps lifecycle and Agile development methodologies

• Experience with scientific computing
