Background: Exciting times at Getinge's Solna site We are seeking individuals interested in completing their thesis project in the dynamic Innovation and Technology department, consisting of 12 skilled employees. Getinge focuses on developing and maintaining intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP) to support heart function in patients with acute heart failure.
The assignment: Dive into the world of technical system development Your task involves creating a model of the pneumatic system of the IABP. Through simulations, explore various 'what if' scenarios to enhance system performance and reliability. Activities include literature study, model development, and verification using test results. You'll collaborate closely with the Innovation and Technology team in Solna.
- Conduct literature study and select a modeling tool
- Create a patient behavioral estimate
- Develop the pneumatic system model
- Verify the model with test results
Your qualifications:
- Seeking a master's thesis opportunity in science and engineering
- Skills in control system design, mechatronics, and mathematical modeling
- Knowledge of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and Matlab/Simulink
