Job Description

We are seeking Sustainability Analysts for Inter IKEA.

In Inter IKEA, we are ready to elevate our efforts in advancing IKEA and fostering growth collectively.

We are currently looking for two Sustainability Analysts to assist in defining, developing, and upholding strategic commitments and objectives related to sustainability topics including biodiversity, water, climate change, fairness and equality, circular economy, waste, etc., impacting the IKEA business significantly.

The position involves developing and ensuring the measurement and reporting of the impact of strategic topics throughout the value chain and aiding in identifying opportunities and discrepancies in achieving our targets. Your role will entail maintaining a comprehensive outlook on strategic issues and keeping track of global agreements, commitments, standards, and new regulations externally to safeguard the business and its operational authorization.

To succeed in this position, we expect you to:

  • Responsible for evaluating and analyzing IKEA's environmental, social, and economic impact to pinpoint opportunities for mitigating negative effects and enhancing positive impacts.
  • Lead the generation of content and data to ensure compliance with sustainability reporting obligations such as CSRD, due diligence reporting, etc.
  • Evaluate, implement, and influence the development of measurement methodologies supporting strategic sustainability topics across IKEA's value chain.
  • Collaborate closely with the Data and Technology team to incorporate business needs into our data products to meet internal and external reporting requirements.
  • Maintain the relevance of methodologies and performance frameworks by monitoring new standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Ensure conformity and external assurance by documenting and overseeing sustainability impact data.
  • Enhance and manage data products and solutions for sustainability impact data, and conduct strategic analyses at the overall IKEA value chain level.
  • Provide advice and foster expertise in sustainability and related functions within the business, and contribute to developing solutions for performance monitoring and scenario analysis.
  • Exercise indirect leadership to guide and influence individuals.

This is a full-time position located in Sweden, specifically in Älmhult.

Qualifications

  • We consider strong analytical skills in data and intricate systems essential for success in this role.
  • You should be a resourceful problem solver who views data as not only a solution but also a tool.
  • Having a solid background in sustainability topics, data analysis and modeling, performance monitoring, and goal establishment within a complex corporate environment is crucial.
  • You must possess excellent communication abilities and familiarity with strategic sustainability topics, demonstrated adeptness in collaborating effectively within a team and across various stakeholders.
  • Experience with external reporting standards such as CSRD, SBTN, TNFD, and the Greenhouse Gas Protocol is advantageous.
