The Department of Chemistry and Molecular Biology conducts high-quality research and education in chemical sciences and molecular life sciences. Our research and education focuses on a deep understanding of chemical and biological processes in cells and in the environment. We are responsible for postgraduate education in the subject area Natural Sciences with a focus on chemistry, biophysics, biology and educational science. In addition, the department hosts educational programs in molecular biology, genomics and systems biology, chemistry, organic chemistry and pharmaceutical chemistry, as well as prescription education. Duties1, Design and perform genome-wide imaging-based screens using yeast as a model system

QualificationsRequired education, knowledge and experience, personal qualities – compulsory must
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in molecular, cellular, or developmental biology, biochemistry, microbiology or relevant fields. Basic knowledge and experience of molecular and cell biology laboratory techniques is required. Excellent writing and presentation skills are also required.
Merit education, knowledge and experience, personal qualities – should have
Experience within yeast culture, protein and mRNA quantification, transcriptomics, proteomics, epigenetics and bioinformatics will be an advantage. Experience in yeast high content screening design is a merit. Work experience in yeast genome-wide imaging screening and mammalian high content imaging based screening is also a merit.
