What you will do

At Group Trucks Purchasing (GTP), you will play a vital role in transforming our company, the transport industry, and society as a whole.

As a Segment Leader within our procurement team, your responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing segment strategies and purchasing processes to align with Volvo's strategic goals
  • Enhancing Volvo's competitive edge by comprehending business requirements and the supplier landscape within the industry
  • Effectively managing and nurturing the supplier network, fostering resilient and sustainable partnerships through categorization, segmentation, evaluation, and more
  • Overseeing the segments with a QDCFTSR approach
  • Coordinating global initiatives in close partnership with regional teams
  • Negotiating contracts, frameworks, and upcoming requests with suppliers
  • Contributing actively to team growth by introducing improvement ideas, supporting colleagues, coaching buyers as needed, and sharing success stories
