Sleep Cycle is expanding, and we are now looking for our next mobile software engineer star

About the position:

You will join an experienced team of developers, machine learning engineers, and designers on our mission to help more people sleep better. The team has a highly data driven approach, and uses experiments to drive progress and generate value.

We are looking for team members with strong communication and software development skills who thrive in a fast paced agile environment. We are looking for people who are awesome at what they do but who also want to have fun at work, contributing with your positive attitude.

This role is perfectly suited to an engineer who loves to try out new things, and who likes to go with data rather than gut feeling when it comes down to making a decision.

To succeed in this role, we believe that you have the following qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of experience developing native mobile applications from end-to-end
  • Strong expertise doing mobile application development on iOS and/or Android, with Swift/Kotlin as main languages
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical executives and staff
  • Proven experience transforming business concepts into technical requirements and actionable development plans
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
It's also beneficial if you have:
  • A genuine interest in algorithms and machine learning / AI
  • Knowledge in backend development on Google Cloud Platform
  • Experience from working together with others in a cross-disciplinary environment
  • Knowledge in Java, Objective-C, Shell scripting or C++
  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related fields
