We are now looking for someone to fill the role of DevOps Engineer in our DevOps team for our Service Node "Push-to-Talk" (PTT), Walkie Talkie on mobile. PTT is a service platform integrated with Telia's Mobile network.

Our DevOps team, together with the supplier, manages the service end-to-end.

From Specification and Review of requirements for new features, testing, implementation, and operation of software in applications and apps.

My name is Daniela Viksten Martinetti, and I lead this team within CPS unit in Telia. The team is responsible for several different parts within the telephony portfolio – everything from customer-specific solutions for large companies to integrations of standardized applications from our suppliers.

Even though our focus is global, the role requires that you are located in Sweden because some security-classified customers have extra high demands, which means a security clearance will be conducted.

Is this you?

As a DevOps Engineer for Push-to-Talk, you will primarily focus on the technical operation, support, and integration of our PTT architecture. This includes managing the platform, mobile network components, IT infrastructure, and terminals. While the role involves some development tasks, your main responsibilities will be in operations, maintenance, and 3rd line support.

You enjoy working with complex problems, formulating your proposed solutions, and developing them. The work is done both individually and in teams.

The role includes, but is not limited to:

  • Evaluating new features in Apps on mobile devices.
  • Evaluating new mobile devices according to the customers' requirement list.
  • Evaluating new features in server applications for managing the users' service.
  • Verifying and testing new and existing features from a user perspective.
  • Troubleshooting features in Applications and Apps during disruptions in collaboration with the supplier of PTT and various competencies for the systems and networks used/integrated to deliver the service "Push-to-Talk as a Service".
  • Requirement management towards suppliers and internal systems.

Your experience:

  • 5+ years' of proven experience with Telecommunications and Mobile Data Applications and Apps.
  • Knowledge of mobile networks and their integrations, both for media and signaling.
  • Knowledge of operating Linux and Windows servers.
  • Experience with the interaction between physical IT environments and virtual servers.
  • Knowledge of DNS, Routing, load balancing, and basic knowledge of network and firewall technology.
  • Experience with scripting/programming.
  • Proficiency in Swedish and English (both spoken & written).
  • Experience working with monitoring tools and handling incidents in large systems.
  • Experience with test automation / Selenium.
  • Experience with agile working methods, SAFe, and CI/CD.
