To strengthen our team, we are now looking for a compliance champion with a great interest and competence in sustainability, to drive Aarke's path to documented, verified sustainable success for our products. Sustainability is a core pillar value of Aarke's business, our mission is to create products and services with clear environmental footprints as well as exceptional design and enduring quality.
Role and Responsibilities
As a Product Compliance Lead you will ensure that all Aarke products comply with all legal regulations and standards for all Aarke markets. You also make sure that all documents are in place and order at the right time to ensure successful and compliant product launches and market success. The role also includes making sure that technical documents and manuals are compliant with regulations, and overseeing Declarations of Conformity. You will report to our Quality and Sustainability Manager.
You will be involved in the following tasks and have the following responsibilities:
- Map mandatory compliance requirements and non-regulatory certification needs for our products and markets.
- Coordinate and track on-ongoing product testing and certification with third party labs or via Aarke suppliers.
- Compile and maintain technical files, by developing and maintaining our database of all active compliances.
- Map and select recycling organizations and their respective requirements for labeling the products in each country.
- Map and gather information from our supply chains regarding ESG requirements.
- Identify and monitor worldwide regulatory development within relevant fields.
- Make sure that relevant stakeholders (R&D, Q&S Manager, product management) are proactively informed about related legislative and standard changes.
- Take part in new product development projects, and product maintenance, to ensure the right certification needs are identified and achieved for each new development project.
- Identify requirements for new market entries.
- Support sales and customer service with their compliance queries.
Your Profile
For this role, we are looking for someone with experience in working with regulatory and compliance-related questions within consumer products. You need to have extensive knowledge of mandatory, and voluntary, market requirements to obtain market access in regions worldwide. Working with a structured mindset in close collaboration with the product team. Having a curious mindset and ability to deep dive into technical product details and standards, the Product Compliance Lead handles compliance-related discussions internally and with suppliers.
Qualifications
Aarke is looking for a person that has:
- M.Sc. or BS degree in engineering or equivalent working experience
- Compliance certification knowledge and understanding of EU CE marking process, North American and APAC regulations and voluntary compliance certificate of household products.
- Ability to navigate/interpret ambiguity of standards.
- Knowledge in the fields of engines, electronic design, mechanical design
- Experience in working with chemical standards is a big bonus.
- Experience in working with product safety.
It's a plus if you also have demonstrated working experience in taking products through a compliance certification process and experience with IEC
